Here are some kind words from my lovely clients:

We were pretty trepidatious about having our photos taken as we are really not at home in front of the camera. That said Lynsey was lovely and put us at ease immediately and we had a good laugh! For Lynsey to get such natural shots of such camera shy people she is truly skilled at photography!

Our biggest fear was that the whole event would become very artificial and not really about what we actually are and do. We really liked the idea of not having formal portraits done but were concerned that the session could become manufactured and appear ‘cheesy’ or forced. Small children have minds of their own sometimes also and we were concerned that they might be reluctant to participate.

Actually that did not happen at all, it was very easy and relaxed and the 90 minutes or so that Lynsey was with us seemed to go very quickly.

We think the children enjoyed it, the photos do not appear forced in any way and are a really interesting record of us, interspersed with a lot of absolutely beautiful stuff.

We enjoyed the informality of it all and the way it made us as a family stop the usual weekend jobs and spend some quality time doing stuff together.

If we were to recommend Lynsey to a friend, we would say: Go for it! Just be yourselves, figure out a couple of activities in advance that you know would play well for everybody and then spend some time together.

We really enjoyed it and the pictures are beautiful. We are going to get some prints made and the most difficult part will be trying to keep a limit on the number of prints.

Lynsey subtly captured all the action, from children’s cheeky grins, to knowing smiles between older siblings and poignant moments of reflection among our family members, some we saw and some we would have otherwise missed, so it is fabulous to have them as committed memories.

I have no idea how she managed to get so many varied and brilliant shots in while people barely noticed, and it is so nice that our guests look so natural.

I love Lynsey’s trademark, black and white, reportage style, it was exactly what we were after and now our walls are much improved by many of her framed shots.

I would highly recommend Lynsey, she provides a stylish and unforgettable service.

We were delighted with the results of our family photoshoot. We were quite nervous at first but Lynsey put us at ease and I think the tone of the photos reflect this. It was great to be in our own home as we weren’t keen to have formal photos in a studio.

This portfolio is a fun look on our family life. We will treasure our album even more as our newborn was only 3 weeks old.
